In Venice the foreigners are unlikely to experience serious health problems, thought the climate, generally enjoyable, can sometimes present unpleasant surprises. Pharmacists (farmacia) are qualified to give advice on minor ailments and to dispense prescriptions. There will always be a 24-hour one 'on turn'.
